A lack of transportation to and from medical appointments can put at risk an older adult’s ability to live a healthy life.

Regular, preventive care is important to maintaining quality of life for everyone – but is even more critical for the seniors who use Adelante Healthcare services each year.

Yet many seniors live alone and may not have close family or friends who can provide a ride to the doctor.

Most are on fixed incomes and many live in low-income neighborhoods with very limited access to public transportation options.

And for seniors who are disabled, obese or chronically ill, riding a bus can be a dangerous--even impossible--undertaking.
